Pizza sandwich is a dish that I have been having since high school! It started as a change, a different flavoured grilled cheese sandwich. We used to order pizza’s from places like Pizza Hut and Pizza Corner and Dominoes back then, weekends especially, we had a lot of seasoning remaining. So my mum got inventive and made a simple onion, tomato and capsicum the best grilled cheese sandwich and so tasty! Pizza seasoning wasn’t easily available back then and all of us kids always wanted something exotic! The taste has changed but it is still awesome as ever, it is a mean sandwich as Anirudh my husband puts it.
Now we get fresh Italian seasoning too! Times have changed a lot, but the taste of this sandwich has stayed the same. This recipe is for all my friends who have had this at home either made by my mum or me over all these years! This recipe is dedicated to you all! I have used a Morphy Richard’s Grill.
