Steps to make Chatpata Paneer Starter

  1. I used 200grams Amul Malai Paneer
  2. Coat the paneer with 2 tablespoons of Kasuri Methi
  3. Cut 1/2 a red, green and yellow bell pepper or capsicum
  4. Cut 2 spring onion whites
  5. Cut the spring onion greens and keep apart
  6. Cut 2 green chillies
  7. Cut 2 inches ginger
  8. Cut the paneer vertically
  9. In a hot pan
  10. Add 1.5 tablespoons Olive Oil
  11. Add spring onion whites
  12. Add cut ginger
  13. Stir Fry
  14. Add cut green chillies
  15. Add 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  16. Add 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  17. Add 1 tablespoon Chaat Masala
  18. Stir fry for a minute add 1/4 cup water
  19. Add the cut bell peppers or capsicums
  20. Add a handful spring onion greens
  21. Cover with the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes
  22. Next add the cut paneer
  23. Toss gently to coat the masala
  24. Check for salt and add per taste
  25. Add some more spring onion greens
  26. Add 1 teaspoon more kasuri methi
  27. Gently toss again
  28. Add 1 teaspoon Aamchoor or Raw Mango powder,
  29. Turn the heat off
  30. The dish is nearly ready
  31. I garnished it with 1 freshly roasted papad
  32. I served it along with 1 cut lemon!
  33. This dish is now ready to serve!
